Course description

A half day training session covering nutrition and hydration.

Training objectives

Understand the role of nutrition in good health and how that may be promoted and monitored.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course it is anticipated that you will be able to:

  • Describe the role of nutrients in a healthy diet

  • Identify individual nutritional needs

  • List signs of malnutrition and dehydration

  • Explain the use of the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool

  • Suggest how some diets can be improved.
