Following government advice, ESCC have made the decision to postpone or cancel some face to face training. This decision has been made in light of the national concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID - 19). Please see individual courses for more information.
This focussed programme aims to develop manager’s knowledge, skills and confidence to enable them to fully integrate a coaching approach into the daily management of staff and projects in order to operate effectively, promote a culture of empowerment and engagement and to support creativity in a challenging business environment.
A coaching approach is increasingly well evidenced across the business community and public sector as an appropriate and successful leadership style, creating a ‘win-win’ effect, where staff are motivated and engaged, and work can be successfully devolved, freeing up valuable management time and resources.
Delegates should be either managers; supervisors or team leaders who will have the opportunity to put these skills to work in their day to day roles or by coaching other staff with ESCC.

To examine when, where and how a coaching style of leadership would be beneficial and identify own management/leadership style in relation to coaching

To gain confidence, through practice, to use coaching skills and thinking in appropriate work situations
