Over the course of this half day workshop you will learn about the law in relation to sexual consent. We will break down the definition and use case studies to explore what having the freedom and capacity to consent means. We will look at the rights and responsibilities of individuals engaging in sexual activity and ways in which you can discuss these issues with children and young people by looking at practical tools and resources.

Preparation and Follow Up
Before attending any ESSCP training course, participants must attend a Basic Signs and Indicators Child Protection course provided/commissioned by their own organisation or have accessed the Safeguarding Children online e-learning training course. To complete this course go to the e-learning section on the East Sussex Learning Portal, enter the Children’s Workforce channel and click Safeguarding.
