Tim Holtam runs the Brighton Table Tennis Club, with a mission to “To inspire everyone to be a champion, instil a lifelong love for table tennis and a positive sense of community within all our players”. Founded in 2007, it’s based on a belief that table tennis can be used as a powerful tool in engaging people of all ages and transforming lives. Today the club has its own full time centre and runs over 200 tables across the city in parks, squares, schools, sheltered housing schemes, a centre for homeless people, sports centres, a psychiatric hospital and three prisons outside the city.
Hear from Tim Holtam what inclusion and engagement means to him and how he works to break down prejudice and barriers.
