This is a half day moving and handling training session, delivered face to face with appropriate Covid 19 PPE provision, aimed at Adult Social Care staff who assess for and prescribe manual handling equipment.
It is a prerequisite that OTAs have attended the virtual theory training before attending Part 2 the practical session.
To provide Occupational Therapy Assistants the knowledge to assess and provide appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure optimal manual handling practice for their clients.
By the end of this session, it is anticipated you will:
You will be expected to comply with government Covid19 guidelines. PPE will be provided for all candidates.
For the practical element participants attending should be fit, dressed appropriately and able to fully participate. Footwear should be flat/ low heel and closed in toes. No flipflops. Candidates will need to wear PPE.
NB. please note there is no access to any drinks or refreshments, so candidates will need to bring their own with them.
