This course will be delivered via In-Person Classroom training. You will be expected to attend a specific venue on the date(s) of the training. Please see the course full details and attached map for further information.

The PBS refresher training is open to professionals, families and carers who support adults with learning disabilities who also have challenging needs who have ALREADY completed the full 3 day course.

The refresher day includes updates on current legislation, any changes to guidance and good practice, and a multi choice questionnaire to test up to date theory, knowledge, practical demonstration and competence of physical interventions.

This venue has a current Covid19 risk assessment. Any delegates showing Covid19 symptoms must not attend the training venue.

By the end of this session it is anticipated that you will have:

• Up to date knowledge of national policy, local guidance and good practice


• Ability to safely carry out physical interventions.

• their health or physical fitness;
• their attitudes, values and beliefs;
• their behaviour towards other people;
• their time keeping and/or attendance. 

Exclusions would be confirmed in writing, with full reasons given, to the employing organisation of the participant in question.
