You will be sent links to resources and a workbook via email, so it’s vital that you give us your correct email address if it differs from the one on your East Sussex Learning Portal user account
Workbooks are not to be shared between colleagues; each person who wishes to complete this training MUST book their own place on it. Workbooks returned to the trainer by delegates who have not booked a place will NOT be marked
After completing the workbook please return it (via an email with answers typed or completed in PDF, saved and returned) for marking to ann.holland@eastsussex.gov.uk by no later than the Friday after you receive the workbook.
Please don’t hesitate to email Ann with any questions about assisting clients with swallowing difficulties.
Ann will mark and return your workbook.
Your East Sussex Learning Portal user account will be updated to show completion of this training once your workbook has been marked.

EPILEPSY AWARENESS

On the date of your Epilepsy Awareness training, you will receive an email from tania.hudson@eastsussex.gov.uk with a link to a recorded presentation and assessment.

The training and assessment is expected to take approximately 2 hours.

PROCESS:

Watch the 40 minute ESCC Epilepsy Awareness presentation and 20 minute Epilepsy Society film.

Please then follow the relevant video links in the assessment regarding Buccal Midazolam.

NOTE: THIS TRAINING DOES NOT INCLUDE BUCCAL MIDAZOLAM COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

This course is for staff working in ESCC Assessment and Care Management Teams

This course is for staff tasked with answering calls from customers and service users where the potential for aggression and conflict is present.

The course is intended to provide staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to telephone calls from service users in a positive and professional way.

This Interactive course will help to raise confidence and competence. You will gain an insight into your own training style and learn tips and techniques to develop and deliver a high impact and engaging training experience. You will gain experience of delivering micro-training sessions and receive feedback to help you develop your skills and confidence.

Due to the highly interactive nature of the workshop, you will be required to bring a short (5-10 minute) training session or part of a training session that you have pre-prepared. This should be relevant to your role as you will apply the learning from the course to refine and develop this session.
