A 2.5 hour workshop exploring contemporary knowledge, understanding and practice in the field of Autism Spectrum conditions and Neurodiversity. This course requires basic knowledge of autism and experience in working with people with autism.
This is a remotely delivered course and delegates should therefore ignore any map or venue information.

This course is open to any member of staff who has supervisory responsibility, or member of staff who is interested in developing their compassionate leadership skills.

The aim of this course is to provide substance misuse training to support individuals with substance misuse problems, contribute to their protection and carry out basic substance misuse interventions. Whilst also looking at the holistic response to problematic substance misuse needs, such as mental health, sexual health/exploitation, child protection, and the law.This live, interactive training will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

Successful negotiation is an important communication skill. This course serves as an introduction to best practice negotiations, providing an understanding of the importance of influence – striving for win/win solutions.
Please note that there is some use of role playing exercises in this course, to assist with developing your skills and strategies.

This course is aimed at managers who would like to gain a better understanding of how to manage members of staff with different levels of neurodiversity.
What does the Neurodiversity Awareness Training cover?
The PBS refresher training is open to professionals, families and carers who support adults with learning disabilities who also have challenging needs who have ALREADY completed the full 3 day course.
The refresher day includes updates on current legislation, any changes to guidance and good practice, and a multi choice questionnaire to test up to date theory, knowledge, practical demonstration and competence of physical interventions.
