This session will be facilitated by Simon Foster, who has worked both as a local authority solicitor and as legal head of MIND, and David Watson, Principal Lecturer. This session will explore the criteria judges and Tribunal panels apply to written reports and how AMHPs can address this. There will be both live teaching online and exercises for participants.

LAS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Adults Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile

This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LAS whether to view client data or input data into the system

As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.

You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.

We will address how to manage your time when working from time.

Code: ASC/20/776 Safeguarding Introduction and refresher - Covid 19 Interim Training Programme (EVENT FULL)

This 2.5 hrs virtual refresher workshop will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and is aimed at staff who work with adults with care and support needs, who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice. It is designed to update knowledge and skills of staff who have already completed the Safeguarding Basic Awareness E-learning course in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
IMPORTANT: THIS TRAINING IS PART OF THE COVID-19 INTERIM TRAINING PROGRAMME AND IS SUITABLE FOR NEW AND EXISTNG STAFF. TRAINING WILL BE DELIVERED VIA A SKYPE / MICROSOFT TEAM MEETING AND YOU WILL BE SENT AN INVITE TO IT A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE IT IS DUE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL STAFF ATTEND FACE TO FACE TRAINING WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE.
Please look out for an email to complete the session evaluation. We would appreciate your time in completing this so we can evaluate this temporary process. You will then be able to access your certificate via the learning portal.

This course will be delivered live via Skype or Microsoft Teams so participants will need to be able to use both systems

Code: ASC/20/755 Strengths Based Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused (SF) Principles and Skills – Covid19 Interim Training Programme

This virtual training course will be delivered via Zoom over 2 sessions on different dates. Delegates must complete both sessions to complete the training. These sessions will provide a theoretical framework and practical guidance and skills on using strengths and assets-based approaches including MI and SF to strengthen motivation, skills and confidence in order to engage clients in their own wellbeing and promote positive change.

The trainer will contact all participants and email them an introduction letter which will include an invitation to the Zoom meeting and several worksheets for them to use in the breakout rooms during the training.  This email will be sent to delegates near the course date and not within the email they receive when their place on this training is confirmed.
