IMPORTANT: THIS TRAINING IS PART OF THE COVID19 INTERIM TRAINING PROGRAMME AND IS SUITABLE FOR NEW AND EXISTNG STAFF.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT NEW STAFF ATTEND FACE TO FACE TRAINING WHEN AVAILABLE.
You will be sent links to resources and a workbook via email, so it’s vital that you give us your correct email address if it differs from the one on your East Sussex Learning Portal user account
Workbooks are not to be shared between colleagues; each person who wishes to complete this training MUST book their own place on it. Workbooks returned to the trainer by delegates who have not booked a place will NOT be marked
After completing the workbook please return it (via an email with answers typed or completed in PDF, saved and returned) for marking to ann.holland@eastsussex.gov.uk by no later than the Friday after you receive the workbook.
Please don’t hesitate to email Ann with any questions about assisting clients with swallowing difficulties.
Ann will mark and return your workbook.
Your East Sussex Learning Portal user account will be updated to show completion of this training once your workbook has been marked.
Please look out for an email to complete session evaluation. We would appreciate your time in completing this so we can evaluate this temporary process. You will then be able to access your certificate online.

EPILEPSY AWARENESS

On the date of your Epilepsy Awareness training, you will receive an email from tania.hudson@eastsussex.gov.uk with a link to a recorded presentation and assessment.

The training and assessment is expected to take approximately 2 hours.

PROCESS:

Watch the 40 minute ESCC Epilepsy Awareness presentation and 20 minute Epilepsy Society film.

Please then follow the relevant video links in the assessment regarding Buccal Midazolam.

NOTE: THIS TRAINING DOES NOT INCLUDE BUCCAL MIDAZOLAM COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

Code: ASC/20/334 Safeguarding Adults: Refresher (Cancelled)

This half day refresher workshop is aimed at staff who work with adults with care and support needs, who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice. It is designed to update knowledge and skills of staff who have already completed the introductory level 1 Safeguarding Awareness course in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
