A two-hour online training course
After months of home working, we probably all have experience of the good, the bad and the ugly of online meetings. Some people find the new medium liberating; for others, the experience could best be described as painful!
This two-hour online course looks at the essentials of managing meetings and presenting well, whatever platform you’re using.
This session is open to any member of staff who has supervisory responsibility, or member of staff who is interested in developing their remote team management skills.
As some staff start to return to the office and others continue to work from home we are all going through another phase of adjustment.
If you have supervisory responsibilities you will face additional challenges in bringing the team together to work productively with each other.
This 2.5 hrs virtual refresher workshop will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and is aimed at staff who work with adults with care and support needs, who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice. It is designed to update knowledge and skills of staff who have already completed the Safeguarding Basic Awareness E-learning course in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
IMPORTANT: THIS TRAINING IS PART OF THE COVID-19 INTERIM TRAINING PROGRAMME AND IS SUITABLE FOR NEW AND EXISTNG STAFF. TRAINING WILL BE DELIVERED VIA A SKYPE / MICROSOFT TEAM MEETING AND YOU WILL BE SENT AN INVITE TO IT A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE IT IS DUE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL STAFF ATTEND FACE TO FACE TRAINING WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE.
Please look out for an email to complete the session evaluation. We would appreciate your time in completing this so we can evaluate this temporary process. You will then be able to access your certificate via the learning portal.
This course will be delivered live via Skype or Microsoft Teams so participants will need to be able to use both systems
The training course is in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures
