A re-certification course for First Aiders with a current First Aid at Work certificate.
NOTE: HSE issued guidance during the pandemic which allowed FAW or EFAW certificates that expired after 16 March 2020 to remain valid until 31 October 2020 or 6 months from date of expiry, whichever was later. All requalification training for these certificates should have been completed by 31 March 2021. Therefore, if your certificate has expired, you will need to take the full 3 day First Aid course to requalify.
First Aiders whose certificates are still valid can attend training up to 3 months before the expiry date of their certificate, or within 28 days of expiry but it is important to note your qualification is not valid during the period after expiry, and you should not administer first aid beyond the expiry date of the certificate, until requalified.
All delegates need to physically attend the whole course in a classroom setting at the venue. This is NOT delivered as an online distance learning course.
Note: This course requires a demonstration of competency in administering CPR, which involves kneeling on the floor beside an anatomical dummy. If you are unable to work on the floor to perform CPR you will not be permitted to undertake this course.
IMPORTANT: Due to Covid19 restrictions, delegates must bring hand sanitiser and wear a face covering at all times when in communal areas of the venue; and if requested by the Trainer. No delegate should attend if they are showing signs or symptoms of Covid19, or have been in close contact with a Covid19 patient within 14 days.
This course will be reviewed in light of any change in current Covid arrangements and delegates will be contacted as necessary.
This venue has a current Covid19 risk assessment. Any delegates showing Covid19 symptoms must not attend the training venue.
