LAS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Adults Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile

This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LAS whether to view client data or input data into the system

As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.

You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.

This is a course for moving and handling trainers who directly train staff in safe moving and handling of people techniques and how to complete moving and handling of people risk assessments.

The course is an in-depth 4 day course, spread over 2-5 weeks.  Please note: not all days will necessarily be the same day of the week.

This course is specifically for the moving and handling training of people, NOT LOADS. 

For the practical element participants attending should be fit, dressed appropriately and able to fully participate.  Footwear should be flat/low heel and closed in toes.  No flip-flops or open toe sandals.

Code: ASC/20/96 Safeguarding: Using Coaching Skills to Support an Adult to Identify their Desired Outcomes, during their Safeguarding Enquiry (Cancelled)

Staff wishing to attend this training will either be Lead Enquiry Officers or staff contributing to a Safeguarding Enquiry.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants MUST have previously completed Safeguarding awareness training and/or Enquiry Officer/Lead Enquiry Officer training, since the implementation of the Care Act 2014. 

These multi agency sessions are designed for staff whose role it is to support adults to identify their desired outcomes and to co-produce safeguarding plans, as part of the Safeguarding Enquiry.

Any staff attending who do not meet the pre-requisite requirements of this training may be turned away and potentially could incur a late cancellation fee.

 The course duration will be a half day, including:

  • An update on Making Safeguarding Personal - temperature check
  • Examining the benefits of using coaching skills to support an adult to determine outcomes
  • Exploring coaching techniques.

This training is aimed at managers and supervisors of staff.

All social care workers should have supervision. This workshop explores the ultimate purpose of supervision in adult social care: to promote the wellbeing of adults, and explores how this can be achieved through keeping them at the centre of supervision, addressing supervisees’ wellbeing and promoting wellbeing throughout the organisation. 

Pre-course preparation required:

Create an online Research in Practice for Adults account (if you don’t already have one)

Complete your details – using your work email address
When completing your details, ensure you subscribe to the e-bulletin and monthly Research and Policy update
