Completing Individual Risk Assessing for the Moving and Handling of Adults for Occupational Therapists
This in-depth two day course is aimed at Occupational Therapists within East Sussex who complete individual moving and handling isk assessments and plans for adult patients or carers. The course aims to further develop their role as manual handling risk assessors and to ensure that risk assessments completed are balanced, person centred, fit for purpose, optimise clients' abilities, and demonstrate clear reasoning of the risks that have been identified and how and why decisions have been reached to reduce them.

There will be some case scenarios to work through.
For the practical element participants attending should be fit, dressed appropriately and able to fully participate. Footwear should be flat/ low heel and closed in toes. No flipflops.
LAS (Liquid Logic Adults) Search and View
LAS Search and View is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Adults Liquid Logic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate Liquid Logic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned images held within ECaseFile
This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LAS whether to view client data or input data into the system
As a new staff member your manager must request that a Liquid Logic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.
You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.
Leading Change Effectively - 2 day workshop
This 2 day workshop will help you understand how the brain processes and responds to change. To be more aware of your own and other people’s typical reactions to externally driven change and to plan how you will lead and manage change; so as to maximise the likelihood of making this a positive and successful experience.
This half day refresher workshop is aimed at staff who work with adults with care and support needs, and who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice. It is designed to update knowledge and skills of staff who have already completed the introductory level 1 Safeguarding Awareness course in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
