This course will be delivered via Online Recorded Video, and you will not be expected to attend a specific venue.

This is a Distance Learning Course via presentation on YouTube and a Microsoft Form Quiz and takes approximately 2 hours to complete. 

For those without access to Microsoft forms a hard copy can be sent by special request. Please add this to the special requirements box on the portal when signing onto the course.

The course is the theory (Part 1), covering Assessment of the Fallen Person using a decision-making tool/check sheet to assess for injury and is there a need to call for an ambulance. The check sheet can also be used for information gathering prior to an ambulance arrival for the injured person.
For the uninjured or minor injury the course covers how to assist with self-help from the floor or when to call for and the use of a Elk lifting cushion, Felgains Lifting Chair or a Hoist.

This course has a no practical element.

The course covers:

• Fallen person check sheet
• Additional information relating to fractures which may not have been covered in basic first aid training
• Pain assessment
• Body checks
• History taking
• Practicals in scenario style for body checking included in the workbook
• Decision making for self-help or equipment use.

This is the practical element for the Basic First Aid Theory aimed at all staff who require basic first aid skills.

When requesting a place on this course, you must allow 3 weeks between the dates of completing the Basic First Aid (Theory) and Basic First Aid (Practical) to allow for the workbook to be completed, returned to the Trainer and marked. When you book Basic First Aid (Practical) please provide us with the date Basic First Aid (Theory) was completed in the Special Requirements field on your booking form. If Basic First Aid (Theory) has not been completed, your place on  Basic First Aid (Practical) will not be confirmed.

LAS Search and View is a half day of remote hands on training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Adults (LAS) LiquidLogic platform. This course is designed to show you how to navigate LiquidLogic, find clients and view case data and includes viewing scanned/uploaded images held within ECaseFile

This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses LAS whether to view client data or input data into the system.

As a new staff member your manager must request that a LiquidLogic account is created for you before attending this course. When the account is created you will receive an e-mail invitation to book onto this course. Existing users are welcome to book if they wish to refresh their skills.

You must complete this training in order to be able to access the LIVE system. The trainer will activate your account on attendance.

Training sessions are conducted via Microsoft Teams, please reserve the time in your diary.
You should assure yourself of the suitability of the learning environment from which you will access the online course. In order to focus on the learning content, you will need to access the session from a quiet location where you will not be disturbed. If it is not possible to do this within the office then you should select an alternative location/room that is more suitable, by agreement with your manager.
In order for you to be able to attend you will need to ensure that you are using an ESCC device that has a microphone and video capabilities.

This monthly session provides an opportunity to discuss all aspects of medicines management with members of the Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes team.

You are welcome to come along with any questions, queries or concerns relating to medicines management in your setting.

This is a remotely delivered session and delegates should therefore ignore any map or venue information.
