IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT NEW STAFF ATTEND FACE TO FACE TRAINING WHEN AVAILABLE. You will be sent links to resources and a workbook via email, so it’s vital that you give us your correct email address if it differs from the one on your East Sussex Learning Portal user account Workbooks are not to be shared between colleagues; each person who wishes to complete this training MUST book their own place on it. Workbooks returned to the trainer by delegates who have not booked a place will NOT be marked After completing the workbook please return it (via an email with answers typed or completed in PDF, saved and returned) for marking to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than the Friday after you receive the workbook. Please don’t hesitate to email Ann with any questions about assisting clients with swallowing difficulties. Ann will mark and return your workbook. Your East Sussex Learning Portal user account will be updated to show completion of this training once your workbook has been marked. Please look out for an email to complete session evaluation. This is a remotely delivered course and delegates should therefore ignore any map or venue information.

Safeguarding Adults: Making Safeguarding Enquiries for Lead Enquiry Officers (LEOs Module 3 of 4 Information Sharing and Record Keeping)
This training is for operational staff in ESCC Adult Social Care Services who may be asked to make or contribute to a safeguarding enquiry under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, and will include; the Local Authority's duty under s42 of the Care Act 2014; planning an enquiry; involving the adult – using a Making Safeguarding Personal approach; completing an enquiry.
This is for staff, new to ESCC or new to the role of making enquiries. Staff who have previously completed Enquiry Officer / Enquiry Manager training do not need to attend as the course content is very similar.
Staff will need to have completed a Safeguarding Adults Basic Awareness training session before taking part in these modules.
PLEASE NOTE: LAS (Liquid Logic Adults) Safeguarding Adults Training has been arranged to follow on from this LEO training. If you have not already completed this mandatory training prior to attending this LEO course you can book onto the LAS training in the usual way, via the East Sussex Learning Portal. Log in and select the ‘Adult Social Care’ channel, then click ‘Training and Development’ and in the Search field type ‘LAS Safeguarding’ and the courses will be listed. Courses are free of charge.
This Making Safeguarding Enquiries for Lead Enquiry Officers virtual training is made up of 4 Modules, all 4 modules need to be completed to have successfully completed this course. The modules are: Module 1 - What is Safeguarding? on 21/10/20 from 10.00am-11.30am, Module 2 - Making Safeguarding Personal on 22/10/20 from 10.00am-11.30am, Module 3 - Information Sharing and Record Keeping on 27/10/20 from 10.00am-11.30am and Module 4 - Making Enquiries on 28/10/20 from 10.00am-11.30am

SharePoint is a half day of training for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the SharePoint platform. This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses Sharepoint libraries to store team information and who has not used Sharepoint before. The course will also cover managing your own Onedrive site used for storing personal documentation.
