Child Protection : Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) Training - Initial Training for Schools
This course provides essential information, guidance and professional development for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
This 2 day training programme will provide staff with the skills, knowledge and understanding to undertake the role within an educational setting, ensuring compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2019, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 as well as locally developed guidance and documentation.
In order to gain your certificate you must attend both days training, however you may start in the role of DSL after completion of the first day.
ESSCP : Consent, sex and young people
Over the course of this half day workshop you will learn about the law in relation to sexual consent. We will break down the definition and use case studies to explore what having the freedom and capacity to consent means. We will look at the rights and responsibilities of individuals engaging in sexual activity and ways in which you can discuss these issues with children and young people by looking at practical tools and resources.
Important note: It is essential that you have undertaken the Safeguarding Children e-learning prior to coming on this course (see additional information under full details), or you may be turned away.
This 3-day interactive workshop will introduce delegates to the core skills they require to manage change and deliver projects. It is case-study based with attendees working in groups to deliver worked examples of the tools and techniques provided.
