There will be no use of hoists or standaids or any bed work during this course. For these elements please book the half day ‘restricted
NOTE: This half day course, together with the one day foundation level course, replaces the previous 1 Day Moving and Handling of People (Residential & Domiciliary) and refresher training due to additional equipment available for high level needs.
This half day course is for care givers who assist and provide personal care for those clients with limited mobility, i.e. clients who are non weight bearing, hoisted or spend prolonged periods in bed.
Applicants must have completed the 1 day Moving and Handling of People for Care Givers - Foundation Level prior to undertaking this training.
For the practical element participants attending should be fit, dressed appropriately and able to fully participate. Footwear should be flat/ low heel and closed in toes. No flipflops or open toe sandals.Essential Information
