Important: This course is for all levels of Care and Support Workers who may find a person who has fallen. You must have completed Assisting the Fallen Person (Part 1) – Covid19 Interim Training Programme before undertaking the Practical (Part 2) Session which can be carried out on providers own premises.
This course - Assisting the Fallen Person (Part 2) Practical use of Assistance Equipment is for the practical use of a Elk lifting cushion, Felgains lifting chair or a hoist. This course has a large practical element.
The course covers:
* Scenario based use of the Fallen Person Check Sheet
* Body checks
* History taking
* Practical in scenario style for body checking
* Decision making for self-help or equipment use
* Practical use of the Mangar Elk and hoisting from the floor or any lifting equipment located in individual services.
This venue has a current Covid19 risk assessment. Any delegates showing Covid19 symptoms must not attend the training venue.

East Sussex Training and Development Centre have completed a Covid-19 risk assessment on the training centre rooms and mitigating actions are in place.
ESCC staff at a high risk of Covid-19 should complete Individual Covid-19 Risk Assessment with their manager and send to corporate.training@eastsussex.gov.uk at least one week before the course date.
Any delegates showing Covid19 symptoms, must not attend the training centre.
Please bring an extra layer of clothing as training centre windows may be opened for ventilation.
Please note, parking around St Mary’s House is limited.

A virtual training session delivered by an experienced practitioner working within a specialist service, using materials co-produced with autistic people. The course level is ‘Aware’: introduction to key concepts and how they relate to practice and what knowledge supports working well for autistic people, and those with intellectual disability, including critical perspectives and introduction to key terms.
This course will be useful for social care staff supporting clients who require enhanced care and support placements or who have prolonged psychiatric hospital admissions or who are considered to be at risk of psychiatric hospital admission.

Sharepoint 2013 training is a 2 hour remote hands on session for East Sussex County Council users to familiarise themselves with the Sharepoint and OneDrive platform. This course is for anyone joining an ESCC team that uses Sharepoint libraries to store team information and who has not used Sharepoint before. The course will also cover managing your own OneDrive site used for storing personal documentation.
Training sessions are conducted via Microsoft Teams, please reserve the time in your diary.
You should assure yourself of the suitability of the learning environment from which you will access the online course. In order to focus on the learning content, you will need to access the session from a quiet location where you will not be disturbed. If it is not possible to do this within the office then you should select an alternative location/room that is more suitable, by agreement with your manager.
In order for you to be able to attend you will need to ensure that you are using an ESCC device that has a microphone and video capabilities.
