Code: ESC/19/126 Commercial Awareness for Managers (Cancelled)

As the public sector is increasingly opened up as a commercial market in which organisations compete against each other and the private sector for contracts, the need for key staff to have commercial skills is paramount.

This one day workshop will help managers understand some of the fundamental elements of thinking and acting commercially. In a practical way it helps managers understand and focus around customers, understand the competitive environment they are operating in and position themselves in the market based on their strengths and weaknesses, the competition and the customers.

This workshop will also help managers look at costs and pricing, brand, culture and people and the need to be focused and intentional about doing the few things that will lead to the most success. You will leave with a practical action plan for commercially developing your service.
