EPILEPSY AWARENESS

On the date of your Epilepsy Awareness training, you will receive an email from tania.hudson@eastsussex.gov.uk with a link to a recorded presentation and assessment.

The training and assessment is expected to take approximately 2 hours.

PROCESS:

Watch the 40 minute ESCC Epilepsy Awareness presentation and 20 minute Epilepsy Society film.

Please then follow the relevant video links in the assessment regarding Buccal Midazolam.

NOTE: THIS TRAINING DOES NOT INCLUDE BUCCAL MIDAZOLAM COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

Please look out for an email to complete session evaluation. We would appreciate your time in completing this so we can evaluate this temporary process. You will then be able to access your certificate.

IMPORTANT: THIS TRAINING IS PART OF THE COVID19 INTERIM TRAINING PROGRAMME DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS AND IS SUITABLE FOR NEW AND EXISTNG STAFF AS AN AWARENESS SESSION.

This FREE course aims to increase participant’s understanding, skills and knowledge when working with parental substance and alcohol use. This course will benefit staff from Children's Services (Social Care and Education), Health, Community Mental Health Team & Youth Offending Team, who are working with children & families or with adults who have children & may be involved in making and/or receiving referrals regarding child care and child protection issues.

This is a live virtual interactive event will be delivered by Microsoft Teams and full joining instructions and guidance will be provided with your confirmation email.

Code: ASC/20/438 Safeguarding Adults Board Multi-Agency: Self Neglect - Virtual session through Microsoft Teams - Covid19 Interim Training Programme

This workshop uses research to support staff involved in the planning and delivery of interventions that support self-neglecting individuals.


The training will be delivered through Microsoft Teams. Once your place on this event has been confirmed, you will receive a separate Outlook calendar invite with a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting. Please note this invite will be sent close to the day/time of the event. Please read the attached document – Attending online training- before joining the course.

Due to the change to a virtual, shortened course and as part of a blended approach to learning, following the session a copy of the Self-neglect procedure and a workbook will be emailed to you , you will be asked to return the completed workbook to the trainer for assessing.
