Today retirement is more of a process rather than an event and this seminar provides a range of information and guidance for those who are approaching this time in their lives.
Your workplace might well be looking a little different at the moment, but there are still some things that stay very much the same.
Retirement, or early retirement, will be one of the biggest lifestyle changes, both financially and culturally, that we face; and planning ahead for this change will certainly help to make the transition easier, and indeed make this part of life something special to look forward to.
East Sussex County Council are working with Close Brothers to provide this valuable support if you are approaching this next chapter of life; whether that is in a few years, or perhaps even in just a few months, we would like to offer you access to a valuable set of tools within the new virtual retirement service, that will help you to think about and prepare for your future retirement.
You will have an opportunity to explore issues and discuss the range of opportunities available to you within a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
As a part of the booking you will also be given access to an online virtual retirement hub full of information and downloadable resources, which you will be able to access at your own convenience.Essential Information
This 2 hour virtual refresher workshop will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and is aimed at staff who work with adults with care and support needs, who need to know the basics of safeguarding, legal responsibilities and good practice. It is designed to update knowledge and skills of staff who have already completed the introductory level 1 Safeguarding Awareness course in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Sussex Multi Agency Policy and Procedures.
The training will be delivered through Microsoft Teams. Once your place on this event has been confirmed, you will receive a separate Outlook calendar invite with a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting.
